Summer Time is Rag Time! Join us to play popular Old-Time orchestral music with other adult amateur musicians this June and July!

Rehearse and perform authentic period orchestrations of favorite, still-familiar tunes like Hello Ma Baby, Glow Worm, Sailing, and

Hands Across the Sea with the

Openings as of April 17, 2024: trombone, tuba and all strings.

There are two sessions with three rehearsals and one concert each session. All rehearsals and concerts are on Thursday evenings, 7:00-9:00 pm. Participants may enroll for one or both sessions; see below for enrollment information.

Session 1: Rehearsals May 30, June 6 and 13, 7:00-9:00 pm
Performance June 20, 7:00 pm -- "The Gilded Age"

Session 2: Rehearsals June 27, July 11 and 18, 7:00-9:00 pm
Performance July 25, 7:00 pm -- "Rags Ahoy!"

Both performances will be at Mahaffie Farmstead,
1200 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe KS

The Sunflower Ragtime Orchestra is enrolling community musicians now for its

Summer 2024 season!

Rehearse and perform popular orchestral music of the early 1900s with other adult amateur musicians! Openings for trombone, tuba and all strings.

The group rehearses from 7 to 9 pm Thursday evenings from May 30 to July 18:

Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 S. Ridgeview, Olathe KS

Two fun sessions, each concluding with a performance at Mahaffie Farmstead, 1200 E. Kansas City Rd., Olathe KS

$50 for either session or $90 for both
